In addition to teaching a full low brass  studio, Dr. Chapa maintains a busy performance schedule as a member of several ensembles such as the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, Odysseus Chamber Orchestra, and the North Texas Euphonium Quartet. He also gives presentations ("I Talk, Euph Play") and performs solo recitals at various universities and conferences across the country.
